"Blink"

The Process of Transformation

Medium - Film / Colour

2014

Blink is a group of photos that are taken of daily things. The concept came from blinking,

when a person blinks the smallest detail changes. Sometimes we notice the change and sometimes

we don't. In this series I wanted to show that every second is a change and transformation and

within these photos change and transformation is presented. The process of transformation is

shown with the multiple overlays of different images combined into one. There is process within

the photos but are only seen as one. But if you look closely you will notice that these photos have

changes and are being transformed as you look at it. Just like blinking, it happens in a few

seconds but when thinking back you might not remember what just happened. The multiple layers

create blurriness within the photos, which is something I chose to work with because that way

you would notice change. When you blink you're not always looking in the same spot. Your head

might've tilted or your body shifted, therefore nothing is perfect and the same.

Diptych
"Places"

Medium - Film / Black and White

2013

These photos are composed of two photographs of similar content exposed side by side with each other creating a diptych frame. The theme I chose to work with was architecture and buildings. The two photos placed together create a three-dimensional perspective and a panoramic feel. Being inspired by Jane Hinton I believe that the outcome of these photos create imagery, as if you were in the space itself.

"Time in Society"

Medium - Film / Black and White

(multiple exposures/distortion on film)
2012

In these photos of "Time in Society" what is being represented is the judgement of our time in the society today. We are often losing track of time, worrying if we will have enough time but one thing we don't do is cherish our time. Seconds go by but in our society today are we using it wisely and productively? In the 20th century this is a often topic that is brought up but only we can be in control of what we use our time for and how we use it.
